Tell me why you started⁉️ ••• I don't really have a neat back story on why I started powerlifting. I BASICALLY started out of BOREDOM, haha.. I was trying to find something to occupy my time. I played softball and tennis in college and knew I needed something competitive to constructively keep me busy (before the @3floofydumplings, which they now take up a lot of my time) outside of my job. My best friend @chanshad was looking for something to do in her off season from bodybuilding. So I just decided to tag along. Lots of life changes have happened since I've picked up the bar up 2.5 years ago. Some good/some bad, but to put in perspective at those moments it was EXACTLY WHERE I NEEDED TO BE. I remain truly grateful for every life lesson this sport has taught me; everything that has happened to get me here; and everyone this sport has brought into my life. #TeeMOFOHee 🙊 ••• You only have to give it everything you got 🥰 ••• 📸 @9for9media @xtinakatarina xtinakatarina Christina Lazo

I started because I stopped competitive swimming this past October, and I was bored training hypertrophy in the weight room so I asked my SO to help me with powerlifting 😅😁

I’ve always wanted to join a gym but was fearful of making that first step. Last year my friend inspired me through her social media accounts of her crossfit journey. So here I am today, almost 1 year into crossfit and loving it! 8kg lighter, fitter and stronger than ever !! 😊 You’re amazing by the way 😍

I started because of physical therapy for my back. Once I saw what strengthening my core could do to improve my quality of life, it was all over lol. 2 years later, not where I want to be, but still making progress!

For me it was results. I was asking myself then the very same question I ask now how much heavier can I go? Once I started seeing the changes in the weight room and in the mirror it just became a place of Solitude. Cool part about it is, it's a place I want to be. No fancy diets no crazy routines, just straight lifting. The food the weights the recovery oh, it's a lifestyle and it's one that I would never want to leave.🙏🤗

Needed to get in shape for the fire department and was trying to pack on mass and instead fell in love with strength training and powerlifting to maximize what my current frame could handle as to still keep cardio and endurance

This pic is frickin legit. I enjoy your videos. I wish I could have as much fun with it as you do.

Started lifting because of football, enjoyed lifting way more, and always just had an interest to do Powerlifting. Without knowing anything about it or even doing a training cycle I signed up and did an APA meet at lake of the ozarks. Fell in love with it after that.

I found PL through Crossfit, because I'm a lot better at heavy lifting than rope climbs and running😉 but I didn't take it seriously until another girl at my gym told me that she thought I had potential. Now we're lifting partners 🔥
