Wednesday Wisdom: ๐•Ž๐•™๐•’๐•ฅ ๐••๐• ๐•–๐•ค ๐•ข๐•ฆ๐•’๐•• ๐••๐• ๐•ž๐•š๐•Ÿ๐•’๐•Ÿ๐•ฅ ๐•ž๐•–๐•’๐•Ÿ?? . Have you ever heard of someone referring to themselves as "quad dominant?" You might be thinking that this term refers to a person who believes they have "strong thighs," but this in fact describes the exercise itself. The term quad dominant is used for exercises that use more force from the quad than any other muscle group in the leg. . Take for example the squat. This movement is a more "quad" dominant exercise, while a movement such as the deadlift is considered a hamstring dominant exercise. As you can see, these terms are used to describe the force that is used to perfrom the exercise properly. . . Here are some of my favorite exercises to increase quad strength. Such good info, thanks for sharing. I have a love/ hate relationship with jump squats. So much burn! Also, I recently discovered the 'Charlie Chaplain' squat move and may have a new fave.

I like squats much better than lunges - the gym I used to go to had us do lunges on our toes and it hurts when you have arthritis in your midfoot! I think I like all kinds of squats though ๐Ÿ’™
